RODA/KTEL are the two local bus transportation companies on the island of Rhodes efficiently servicing the island. The local busses are in good condition the majority are fully air-conditioned.
RODA, the municipal public bus service operates 5 city routes every 45 minutes from 06.00 hrs till 21.00 hrs on most routes. All routes depart from the New Market at Mandraki, in the city centre.
For transportation outside the city there are two bus station terminals. The West Coast of the island is services by RODA, which is located in Averof Street and serves all villages on the island's West Coast, which also includes a route to Koskinou and Faliraki. The East Coast, which is serviced by KTEL is located in Rimini Sq., and serves all villages on the East Coast of the island.

The Red Mini Train: Starting from the National Theatre from 09.30h to 16.30h every 1 hour. PRICE: 7.00 euro It takes you a 45min tour by the walls of the Old Town, climbs up to the citadel to Monte Smith and returns via the city Center to Aquarium ending at the Town Hall . There are also mini trains in Faliraki and Afantou.
